The patch isn't the problem.

I found the solution to the games freezing (as long as its not a dirty disc error). Well it worked for me anyway.... The problem is the HARD DRIVE on your 360 console.
My R6 Vegas started freezing constantly and it was pissing me off! So then I put in NFS Carbon and the same thing happened. Sometimes it froze during the XBOX logo screen at start up. Ever start your xbox and get the red lights around the power button? That means your hard drive is not connected. I noticed this a few times so I pulled out the hard drive (MAKE SURE THE UNIT IS OFF) and put it back in. When you put it back in, press down on it real hard so it makes a good conncetion. If it is loose, the spin of the disc will vibrate it just enough to cause an error and freeze the game. I put somthing HEAVY on top of it (my xbox is standing vertical) so the vibrations wouldn't cause it to loosen. Thank Microsoft for shoddy construction. For $400 the hardware should be flawless. None of my games have frozen since. And I did this immediately after I had about 3 games freeze on me. 21 out of 27 found this valuable. Do you?

The problem is the HARD DRIVE on your 360 console.this is exactly whats happened with mine, all red rings, locked up incredibly on rainbow 6 vegas, thought it was overheating, bought a fan, same kept happening,it was laid down at this point,so pulled it out, stood it up unhooked the hard drive, replaced it and voila, worked fine,so it cost me a cooling fan....and a few lost saves.... 1 out of 1 found this valuable.
