dead rising
Frank is a freelance photographer who arranges to be dropped into a zombie ridden town. His mission is to get pictures and info about what's happening. You'll collect other missions as you go like saving survivors, but there are some evil survivors you need to battle, too. Some of them included a Vietnam Vet, a butcher, and some others with a reason to want the zombie plague to be exposed.
This game is visually delightful. Aside from the myriad of creative ways to kill zombies, you get to take pictures of the events. You get varying points for the different types of pictures. My favorites are the gore or out take shots. For some reason, there is always a zombie pushing a shopping cart to get shots of. You can also change Frank's clothes. Right now, my Frank is wearing a mask he grabbed at a toy store, a unitard wrestling outfit, and heels. The video clips seem to be system gened because Frank is usually wearing whatever I last had him in when they run.
My only complaints about the game are it's few and far between designated "save" locations and that even a decent sized television, the font is so damn small when talking to survivors that I'm only getting every 3rd word or so. I've heard others complain about the same thing on 42" screens. It's frustrating because you get vital info that way, but can't read it.
Other than that, the joy of running over zombies with lawn mowers, beating them with their own arms, and putting lego heads on them just can't be beat.
