Xbox chief says plan is to meet demand
By Todd Bishop
Sony's decision to delay the debut of its PlayStation 3 game console to November creates an added "window of opportunity" for Microsoft's Xbox 360 to build market share, the company's top Xbox executive says. But Microsoft won't alter its strategy, said Peter Moore, who oversees the Xbox as corporate vice president of interactive entertainment. The plan remains to "deliver and start to meet demand" for the Xbox 360, Moore said, adding that the company is getting closer to alleviating the shortages that have hampered sales.
