Well the rumors just wont go away. A week after Microsoft announced to the world their plans on a tablet PC names "Origami" there are new rumours doing the rounds stating that Microsoft is hard at work on a handheld gaming machine. Said to be in direct competition with Sony's PSP and Nintendo's DS handheld, this machine will take the best elements from both of these handheld gaming machines PLUS the addition of a top quality MP3 player to rival the Apple iPod.
So what can this mean for us gamers? What can we look forward to? Well to start with in my own opinion what they need to address more than anything are the weak points of the competitors products. For example, I have a PSP and at first it was the best thing since sliced bread, but come a year later it annoys me that they never included a second analogue stick which is what makes an FPS game so addictive. How about a built in hard drive for all that music and movies? A touch screen? AV outlets so I can plug it into my TV?
What ever Microsoft decides I am sure they will address these issues. Below are some examples of what we could be looking forward to.
