The Inquirer recently posted an article (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=32171) saying that the Cell processor in the PS3 has a serious flaw that makes the local memory useless. Because all calls now have to be made to and from main memory, it is slowing the processor down significantly. For example, the triangle setup rate is less than half that of the XBox 360. According to the article, "Someone screwed up so badly it looks like it will relegate the console to second place behind the 360."
