The goal of the game Viva Pinata is to create an environment that the wild Pinata will find pleasing, in the hopes that they will make it their home. When the game starts, you have nothing but dirt; you must add all of the environmental aspects (grass, trees, water, etc.) in the right amounts in order to attract Pinata. Once the wild Pinata have decided that they like the environment, you can create structures for them to live in. Each of the 60 different Pinatas enjoys a different type of structure for its home. Sour Pinatas (clearly indicated by their red and black color schemes) will try to ruin the scene and aggravate the good Pinatas, so you must determine how to deal with them. You can simply break them, but that will spill their sour candy everywhere, and if a good Pinata eats sour candy, it may turn into a Sour Pinata, too.
There Is A Way TO Turn Sour Pinatas Into Good Pinatas But We Still Dont Know How To Do It.You will be able to "tag" your Pinatas with a tag that you design yourself; you can then trade your Pinata with other players via XBox Live. The Pinata will retain the tag, and keep track of all the gardens it has ever lived in.
A television show is planned to go along with the game.
