Description

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland is the latest title in a series that originated on the PS1 and the gameplay is centered on arcade trick style gameplay using extreme sports icon Tony Hawk.

The game features an on the board element, a free walk element, and a BMX bike element. All elements of gameplay have a detailed trick list that gamers can perform while they are progressing through the game and also in the online realm.

THAW is a title that features no in-game load times, allowing free movement to anywhere in the game world.


Game play modes
Story Mode: Gamers can choose from a story mode that is centered in the city of Los Angeles or a Classic Mode which plays out like earlier versions of the series. The story mode offers the gamer varying objectives that are placed at certain intervals in L.A. Gamer also have the option of side missions to explore at their will.

The Classic Mode: The Classic Mode takes the route of placing the gamer in a closed course that contains several different objectives to complete and can often feature limitations. Courses range from many different cities including Minneapolis, Santa Cruz, Chicago, and Kyoto.

Multiplayer Mode: Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland features a detailed feature list for online play. Up to eight players can take part in several events, such as:
  • Trick Attack
  • Score Challenge
  • Combo Mombo
  • Capture the Flag
  • Goal Attack

When online in THAW the stats of your skater are identical to your skater in the single player mode offering dedicated gamers a chance to show off their pro skater.
