You are Sam Fischer, and you are an elite agent known as a Splinter Cell. Your mission is to infiltrate enemy headquarters, kill certain targets, retrieve vital information, and above all leave no trace of yourself. This is the game where it all starts, you must use stealth tactics to covertly work your way through large numbers of enemies (and sometimes even innocents) reach your objective and then just as covertly escape. Splinter Cell makes use of a Next Generation Unreal engine and offers a unique style of 3rd Person gameplay.
