Next generation really comes alive in this game in the graphics, and the gameplay. Shiny new paintjobs, sparkling chromed out rims, and faster cars than you could even imagine. Starting at 170 mph, and topping out at around 250 mph, you have a variety of cars to choose from including Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Honda, McLaren, and Mercedes Benz. You can work your way through the career mode, or play with people around the world on xbox live, in big cities from around the world like Tokyo, Vegas, New York, and my favorite, Nuremburg.

As in the previous versions of this game (PGR 1 and 2) the kudos have been returned. You can get kudos by doing power slides, drafting (trailing behind an opponent, sucking in extra air) and performing 360's etc.. You also get credits depending on the difficulty you've chosen which allows you to buy better, faster cars. The race modes include street race, team street race, eliminator, lap knockout, and Speed trap.
The online multiplayer feature is also amazing, come together with people from around the globe and compete to be the first across the finish line. If you're more of a rough and tough player, then you can play something like cat and mouse, where the objective is to get your teammates across the finish line first, while taking out everyone else. Gotham TV also comes to life as you can see the best racers in the world compete to hold their titles. If you're lucky, you might even get featured on this world wide race channel.
