Description
NBA Live 06 is the newest iteration of the long running NBA Live franchise. Starting in 1995 on the SNES and Genesis, NBA Live brought home simulation quality professional basketball. Players take part in the 5-on-5 full court sport of basketball where they get to take the reins of their favorite basketball team as they attempt to guide them into the playoffs and ultimately win the NBA championship.

Game play modes
Exhibition: Exhibition mode consists of a single game where the player sets the game's parameters. Once you select exhibition mode, you are taken to the team select screen and from there you are taken onto the court. Players then take part in a standard game, at the end of which they can check stats and then exit back out to the menu.

Create-a-player: This mode is a mainstay of the NBA Live franchise. It consists of gamers receiving a default player model that they can customize to their liking. Some of the options include race, size, skill points, and cosmetic detailing.

Online Play over Xbox Live: This mode is for multiplayer gameplay only. The game will take you onto the Xbox Liver servers, where you search a list of available games and then proceed to join the game of your choice. Player support is one to two people and play consists of the same setup as exhibition games.

Season Mode: Season mode mimics the actual season played by the real league. You can select from several options when you create your season, like season length, injuries on or off, and player fatigue. If they player is successful when season mode concludes, he will continue on to the playoffs. It ends with the NBA championship series.
