Description
Madden Football 06 is the next generation iteration of the world’s best selling football game. Starting life on the Apple II back in 1989, Madden has quickly risen to the top of the sports simulation market. The game includes all the NFL teams and the NFLPA athletes. Players will also find authentic team playbooks to go along with real player recorded voices and animations.

Game play modes
Exhibition game: Gamers can quickly use this option to set up a single contest between two teams of their choosing. The gamer also has control over parameters of the game like length and who is the home team. The match consists of the actual rules and procedures of the NFL starting out with a coin toss, a kickoff, and then the actual running of plays. Once time has expired, the player is then given a post game report showing stats and the final score before they are sent back to the menu screen.

Franchise Mode: Players who choose to play this mode start out by selecting their favorite team or any team they want to guide them through the mode. Gamers are then presented with a season schedule starting with the pre-season and ending with the playoffs. Actual games play out the same as matches in the exhibition game mode. The franchise mode lasts for 30 seasons.

Multiplayer Play: The game features gameplay for one to four players on the same console or two players over Xbox Live. The mode plays out like exhibition mode with a match ending with a post-game report screen. If the match was played over Xbox Live, both players online stats get updated.
