The XBOX 360 is compatible with PC's on a home network. If you're on a Apple Macintosh network though, you won't be left out completely. Within the XBOX Marketplace, there is a downloadable add-on (free, at the time of this writing) that allows any iPod to be connected to an XBOX 360 for playback of non-DRMed files (non copy protected iTunes Store purchased tracks).

For a Mac network, there is also a small shareware application called Connect360 for Macintosh computers, that will make your photos and music available for play on your XBOX 360.
