MMOs For One
The other day whilest I was pacing betwixt my dining and living rooms, it struck me how much I enjoy being immursed in certain games. Most notibly, I enjoy a good RPG but the bulk of the newer ones are all MMO.
Unfortunately, I cannot afford to keep up a charcter on any MMORPGs for lack of... well... money. There is no way I can justify paying to keep an account open as I tend to play games at a lesurly pace sometimes only getting into them for a few weeks and then setting them aside for a month before picking them back up again.
I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool if there were a MMORPG that could also double as a regular RPG?" Now I realize that the whole point of an MMORPG is to work with other players, possibly against other players but there are a few instances in which I have played and enjoyed a MMORPG but I've had to quit because I didn't have the money to stay on the network.
I was thinking that it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to have the MMORPG portion of the game for the people who want that but a single player version for all those who just want to explore and have some fun... or even for those whose internet is down, so they could at least have the experience.
So, my idea isn't really ground breaking... I mean, there's a lot more to work out. Plus, there aren't really any MMORPGs out for the 360... not that I know of anyhow. And quite possibly, there is already a game like this in the works... but I just wanted to put my thoughts out there. As MMORPG games become more popular, I've little doubt that we'll be seeing many hit the 360 in the next few years. And not being a huge MMO player, I'd like the chance to experience them.
