It can do everything. The only Xbox 360 buttons that it's lacking are the shoulder buttons, and who knows? I may just not have found where they are on the remote yet. The 
remote is COMPLETELY programmable. It comes with a USB cable that plugs into the top of it, and software that will search online for compatibility codes for EVERYTHING in your house that can use a remote, including lighting fixtures, and air conditioners. It has a digital readout that you can program specific "activites" for so that it will go through a bunch of processes with a single button press. Want to watch a movie in a cooled, and dimmed environment with your surround sound turned up and on a certain setting? You can program it to do just that, using the provided software.

User perspective
The Good:
- Excellent for using the Xbox 360 as part of an enterainment center
- Thin design
- If programmed codes are lost when changing batteries, they can be instantly reprogrammed using the software and USB cable
- Ergonomic design, good button feedback
- Back lit
- Remotely doing ALL of the Xbox 360's controls and power functions.
The Bad:
- It's light. This is all good and well, until it is brushed against and you realize that your $120 remote just fell on the floor.
- Software is functional, but needs some bugs to be worked out
- Buttons seem to be pressed a bit too long (sending signal too long, this can be adjusted, but it's a bit of a hassle)
- Backlight = Battery Drain (although I've had it since November and haven't had to replace the batteries [It's April 6th now])
- Keypad is a bit small
- Price
The Verdict:
It's not necessary to use one single remote for everything in the world, but it's a nice thought that you can. And this is the remote that you can do just that with. Have six summer houses around various parts of the globe? Program all your remote functions from all the devices in each home into this remote and then just pack it with you when you go traveling. If you're going to pick up a new Universal Remote, then pick up this one. It's not just good for your TV and 360. It's good for EVERYTHING.

I've mostly seen this in BestBuy for $129.99. I think it's neat and all and if you've got a whole buncha different machines it's useful but doesn't the $30 remote also act as a Universal Remote? Sure, it's not as fancy but c'mon! It's a difference of $100!! That's about a game and a half! Maybe more if you're buying for other systems or older and used games. But this is a neat remote and if you're gonna use it and have the money tospend I say go for it... but if you don't... you can definately do without this item.

But.......it's quite expensive. Personally I would rather spend the money on more games but if you have 120 bucks burning a hole in your pocket and you use your 360 for more than just games then yeah go for it.
