Here are some important things to remember when playing original Xbox games on your Xbox 360... if you can think of other things, please add them to the list.
- You must have the Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play original Xbox games on the 360.
- Remember to check whether the game you want to play is on the Backwards Compatability List before you play it. It probably won't ruin your 360 but you might get frustrated if it doesn't work. More games are frequently added to the list so check it often. Eventually Microsoft plans to have all titles playable... but we'll see!
- The original Xbox games are played on an Xbox emulator, so not every game will play smooth and perfect despite the 360's higher specs.
- On the 360, Black Button = Right Bumper and White Button = Left Bumper.
- Remeber that yu cannot listen to custom sound tracks playing an Xbox game on the 360 unless the game offers custom soundtracks. Also the Xbox guide button will only allow you to go to the 360 desktop or if you hold it down, turn off the controller or shut off the system.
- Any save game you have on the original Xbox will not exist on the 360 so you'll have to start over. As far as I know, there is no way to transfer a save on the original Xbox to the 360, not even via Xbox Live.
