Gears of War Review
By Deavenger

General comments: One of the top 10 games for 360.
Graphics: 9 / 10
For being one of the launch games, it had one of the best graphics even today. Then just put it on high def, and it's a complete masterpiece.
Sound: 9 / 10
Amazing. Has everything from dialouge, to weapons getting jammed, to just simply walking and breathing. Nearly flawless.
Controls: 8/ 10
It only takes couple of minutes to get the basics of the controls down. Plus, it only takes an hour for you to be used to the controls to be playing against other people or the harder levels.
Gameplay: 9/ 10
This game is harder to master then most other shooters, but it makes the game more exciting.

Single-player : Awesome. The AI aren't complete idiots where they'll run and you guns blazing. They'll take cover and try to flank you. Your allies are smart, though sometimes I think they do really idiotic stuff like not getting to cover fast enough or rushing in. But it's minor stuff.
Multi-player: Pretty good. Though I personally think they should have had more gametypes and should get rid of things like Host advantage, which sucks for everybody else. Otherwise, it's pretty good, besides the usual problems that there would be for a shooter like camping, or kill stealing.
Replay value, longevity: 7 / 10
Single-player: Once you beat the game on insane, there's very little else you can do. You can go for the cog tags or for achievments. Otherwise, nothing else basically.
Multi-player: You have about 4-5 gametypes to choose from, and become the top of the leaderboards for. But nowadays, there's not as many people online now days.
Overall rating: 9.5/ 10
