After several years of extensive research at our Development Laboratories, our scientists have recently made a promising breakthrough. As mentioned in previous memoÕs you might have received, we are concentrating on the development of the NG-series (Nailguns or ÒNailersÓ). Recent intensive test sessions have proven that the NG-series is as succesful in live combat as was predicted on the drawing board.
As member of the Sera Security Staff you will be kept up to date on the latest technical adjustments and in-field testing results of our newest NG-model, the NG-31.
Within these pages you will find schematics and images from our R&D department, along with several pictures of the testing results, performed by private D. Santiago.
This information is YOUR EYES ONLY ! Please keep in mind that this weapon might become a turning point in our struggle against the present threat. It is crucial that none of the presented information is passed on to unauthorised personnel. All documents must be kept under strict security measures.
Development and technical improvement will continue on our NG-series as we believe this weapon has a significant potential and is highly popular amongst the troops due to its flexibility, ease of use and multi-purpose application.
The NG-series has proven time and time again to be most succesful in co-op missions. As most team members are equiped with Lancers, the NG-31 is an indispensible secondary weapon when it comes to ÒnailingÓ enemy targets. One team member can pin down the enemy to any surface, while his comrades finish the job using their chainsaw or grenades.
Also, when extracting crucial information from the enemy , a pinned down target is usually more communicative then a dead one...
The NG-series is using nail drums. Each drum contains 6 nails constructed of Potomac Polymers, which makes them very light and almost unbreakable. Each nail is coated to improve penetration.
Different from previous models (such as the NG-19 and NG-25) the NG-31 is loaded at the back . This arrangement highly improves on weight and balance of the weapon, and solves earlier problems - such as drum jamming on release. Moving the drum to the back enables us to add a laser aiming device on the barrel of the gun (as was requested by the Military Administration Board).
Loading the NG-31 is quick and easy with an almost zero chance of jamming the gun.
Simply push the release button on the side of the gun to unlock the drum grip. Remove the empty drum and slide in a new one. The NG automatically turns and calibrates the drum when the grip is closed.
This gun is actual a fan hoax, spread through many forums in the beginning of 2007.
