I have been a fan of the CoD-series for a very long time, since the first one was released to PC a 'couple of years ago.
But when I see this, it really lets me down. The graphics have maybe changed, but the AI looks like idiots, and the physics doesn't look thrilling. The HUD hasn't changed, your weapon stands still all the time, making the game a lot unrealistic. It's not going to be good, I'm not going to buy it. It looks just too alike the old one CoD 2.
If you look at Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, you'll definately see a HUGE difference between those giants. Brothers in Arms, has gone some stairs up by putting new physics, and the most lovely HUD I have ever seen. You can see your legs standing down under you, your arms, your weapon and so on. You can't see anything in CoD3. That's very disappointing.
For instance, when the fellow comrade helps you accross the little wall, your weapon or arms don't even move, they stand in the same old, boring position all the time. That lowers my sence of realism about 70% down. You can also notice that when you toss grenades, you just toss them, you know. In Brothers in Arms: hell's Highway you really can see your arm stretching for that grenade hanging on your chest. When you reload on CoD3, you reload too fast, after my opinion.
You can reload a rifle in CoD3 in about 2-4 seconds, that IS unrealistic. In Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway it takes a long time to reload, just as it does in the real world.
Please, Activision, come up with some better stuff!
Disappointing.
