User perspective

The Good:
  • Compact
  • Cheaper than hard drive
  • Comes with carrying case

The Bad:
  • Only 64megs
  • Lacks features of the hard drive like backward compatible play, faster loads, etc.

The Verdict:
Great for having as a backup to the hard drive if the need would arise to format it. If you don't expect to download demos, trailers, patches, or play xbox 1 games then all you need is the memory card. But if you really want to take full advantage of the Xbox 360, go for a hard drive.
