I've noticed that you have edited a few of the things that I have posted (in particular the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Review that I posted). I'm not upset or anything, but wondered what exactly you edited out (you said something about making it more relevant in your edit label). I just didn't notice anything that seemed to be missing that I had put in. Also, what should I do differently in the future when submitting reviews so that you don't have to edit them?

Thanks Wetpaint,

Hi Jmann2k1! I should have thought to reach out to you before I added the box art to it (don't remember saying anything about being relevant...?) -- totally my oversight, and I apologize. I added the art because I've been working on a new version of the homepage that features a callout to your review as a "Review of the Week." As the inaugural review of the week, I wanted it to have an image, in the hope that other people would be inspired to write more reviews like it (because it is great and was recommended by XBoxBerg as a good model) AND include an image (screenshot, box art, whatever). Won't happen again, and thanks so very much for all your fantastic contributions to the site. Very appreciated.

Oh no... think nothing of it. Like I said, I wasn't complaining... I just couldn't tell what was changed (other than the box art addition, because I didn't even think of that as an edit. :) ). I was just curious as to what you did do so that in the future I can know what to do. I'll see what I can do in the future about adding box art or whatever in, but I didn't want to copy any images from any other websites, simply because I didn't want this site to get into any legal trouble... and my html skills aren't too good. I used to know more html, but it's been a long time, and I'm very rusty.

I love the way this website works, though, and am curious as to what you have in mind for the future. Will just anyone be able to still contribute, the way it is now, or will you eventually make it so only moderators and official people of the website can type up previews, reviews, and articles? Or, will it be like 1up.com and thus only allowing moderators and editors to write the main parts, but allow members to contribute their ideas and comments? Or will it just stay entirely the way it is already?

Just wondering,

The site will continue to be open and editable by anyone though there will be certain pages like the homepage that the moderators will lock-down to prevent vandalism. In the future, we will be changing what each role will be able to do. For example, anonymous users may be able to edit pages but not add new ones, registered users may be able to remame and move pages, etc.

Looks like XboxBerg has made you a moderator! Awesome! Now, in part, the future of the site is up to you. Tell others about it, add cool new pages or sections, welcome new registered users, respond to comments, etc. And, if you get a sec, it might be a good idea to build out your user profile a bit now that you're a moderator.
